Cellist Priscilla Lee, 16, of Fullerton has won first prize ($2,500) in the Los Angeles Philharmonic 1997 Bronislaw Kaper Awards for Young Artists competition in Los Angeles. In addition to her prize money, Lee will be a soloist on the Philharmonic’s annual Night Out at the Music Center for high school and college students next May. Lee attends the Crossroads School for the Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles and studies with Philharmonic principal cellist Ronald Leonard. She was one of 10 musicians who competed for the awards April 5 and 6.
