Wellness Community Seeks Coordinator

The Wellness Community, a nonprofit organization that provides free psychological and social support to adults with cancer and their families, is seeking a volunteer coordinator.

The coordinator of front-desk volunteers will schedule office volunteers and donate about two to four hours of time each week from their home or the Wellness Community office, 530 Hampshire Road in Westlake Village.

Applicants should be organized and enjoy speaking with and meeting people, said Susan Friedman, a spokeswoman for the organization.

“We provide emotional support and psychotherapy and all kinds of resources for people with cancer,” Friedman said. “We assist them in fighting for their recovery.”

The Wellness Community has 200 volunteers.
