LOOKING AHEAD: UPCOMING PREP EVENTS IN ORANGE COUNTY : GOLF

Sunny Hills senior Jin Park will be one of the favorites Friday at the Southern Section boys’ individual golf championship at Canyon Country Club in Palm Springs.

Park, the Empire League champion, finished tied for fourth in the event last year and tied for sixth as a freshman. Michael Chavez, a senior from Santa Barbara San Marcos, is the defending champion. He tied Nick Ramirez of La Verne Damien for the title last year. Ramirez is on the golf team at Saddleback College.
