Passing Time In Summer

The summer football season is winding down, but Birmingham, Burbank, Calabasas, L.A. Baptist, Newbury Park, North Hollywood, Oak Park, San Fernando, Verdugo Hills and Westlake high schools gathered in North Hills on Thursday to play in the L.A. Baptist Passing Tournament. The City Section begins full-contact practice Aug. 18, the Southern Section begins Aug. 28. The season opens with games Sept. 11 and 12.
