Alpha Micro Buys Irvine Firm

SANTA ANA — Alpha Microsystems said it has acquired privately held Data Enhancement International Inc., an Irvine-based computer systems integration firm, in an all-cash deal expected to increase Alpha Micro’s revenue by about $1 million in the next year. Terms were not disclosed.
Alpha Microsystems is a Santa Ana-based provider of computer and software equipment and consulting and maintenance services to businesses throughout the United States and Canada.
Company officials said Data Enhancement will continue operating from its Irvine offices with its existing staff of eight, but as the core of a new professional services business unit.
The company’s share price rose 13 cents Tuesday to close at $1.31 on the Nasdaq market.
