UPCOMING PREP EVENTS IN ORANGE COUNTY

Three of Orange County’s top 10 teams are competing in this week’s Irvine Invitational soccer tournament--fourth-ranked Saddleback, eighth-ranked Woodbridge and 10th-ranked Laguna Hills. The tournament began Wednesday and will conclude with Saturday night’s finals at 8:20 at Irvine High School. Saddleback (2-0) is led by senior forward Thomas Serna, who scored five goals in the Roadrunners’ 7-0 victory over Santiago last week.
On Friday, seventh-ranked Capistrano Valley will host Christchurchof New Zealand at 7:30 p.m. and third-ranked Mater Dei will travel to Newport Harbor.
