Ice Dogs Blow Lead, Then Blow Game

Mike Maurice scored the tying goal with less than five minutes to go, and Houston beat the Ice Dogs, 4-3, in a shootout in Long Beach on Friday night.
Rob Kenny, Steven Finn and Andrei Vasilyev scored for the Ice Dogs (18-12-2) in regulation. Patrik Augusta was the only Ice Dog to score in the shootout, with three Houston players scoring for the victory.
In the third period, Vasilyev banked the puck for his team-leading 19th goal and 33rd point to give the Ice Dogs a 3-2 lead. Maurice scored the game-tying goal on a two-on-one rush.
