My Favorite Weekend

Vicki Lewis of NBC’s “NewsRadio” and “MouseHunt,” opening Friday.

Couch Time. My favorite thing is the rain. I love to get a huge stack of newspapers and magazines (I just go down the newsstand like an assembly line). I have the number to Pink Dot delivery and keep the portable phone by me and don’t move all day. Weekends are about hibernating for me.

Weather Wisdom. If the rain stops, I go outside and do a rain dance. Sometimes in L.A. the sunshine feels like Christmas. You’re supposed to be happy and in a festive mood all the time. So I kind of revel in the rain. But maybe I’m just caught in a Tennessee Williams play.

Antique Freak. Shopping for me is always happening. The world is a store, so it’s mostly a matter of when I can hold myself back! I’m an antique freak. I used to buy a lot of little things, but now every three months or so I’ll buy myself something really big. The last thing I bought was a double-sided desk at ABC Carpet in New York. In L.A., I like to shop for antiques at Mitchell Litt in Sherman Oaks. It’s got two floors and is nonstop shopping.

Out and About. When I do go out, I like hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains or having a meal with friends at Musso & Frank or Teru Sushi. I also love Benihana.

Worldly Tastes. I love to eat so sometimes I take the hiatus week and go to New York just for the food. But my favorite food of all time is Skyline Chili from Cincinnati. (That’s where I’m from.) My mom ships it out to L.A. frozen for me, and I make it here.
