What’s in a Name?

The vacant General Motors plant has been back in the news, what with the announcement of more tenants for a $100-million shopping center on the auto manufacturing site. It’s long been called “the Van Nuys plant,” although it’s technically in Panorama City. . . . The GM plant’s not alone. San Fernando High School lies just outside the border of San Fernando. It’s in Pacoima.
