OKLAHOMA CITY — A man suspected of four slayings in three states was reportedly spotted in Oklahoma City driving the car that belonged to his latest victim, the FBI said.
Two people reported seeing a person they believed was Andrew Cunanan over the past three weeks in Oklahoma City, driving a red pickup owned by one of his victims, the FBI said Friday.
Cunanan, 27, of San Diego, is on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list.
He is charged in the May slaying of Minneapolis architect David Madson, and is the prime suspect in the killings of Jeffrey Trail, a friend from Minneapolis; Lee Miglin, a Chicago businessman, and William Reese, a New Jersey cemetery caretaker.
Authorities found Madson’s stolen sport-utility vehicle near Miglin’s townhouse, and Miglin’s stolen car was at the New Jersey cemetery. Reese’s Chevrolet pickup was stolen after Reese’s slaying May 9.
Authorities continue to get unconfirmed reports of Cunanan’s whereabouts. Early in June, Boston police said three people reported seeing him.
