Ocean Front Walk

With a few changes, your editorial on El Mercado in Boyle Heights (June 27) could apply to other sites in the city. As a resident at the Ocean Front Walk in Venice for 46 years, I’d like to encourage (beg) “the city (county and state to) move now to enforce every zoning, health, and noise regulation.” The Ocean Front Walk “should be restored to its original function” as a place for a physically and spiritually rejuvenating stroll along a beautiful natural resource.
And to help our overwhelmed beach police this summer, remember: no skaters or other pedestrians on the bike paths and no bicycling on Ocean Front Walk; it’s the law.
