2 More Candidates to Seek Council Seats

Business owner Brian Lee Rencher and attorney Donna De Paola have joined three other candidates in the City Council race.
This is De Paola’s second attempt at a council seat and Rencher’s fourth.
Rencher officially announced his candidacy Saturday, and De Paola will do the same at 1 p.m. Monday on the steps of City Hall.
Rencher has owned Rencher Research and Business Consulting for two years.
De Paola has operated her own law practice in Ventura for more than four years.
Incumbent Jim Monahan, restaurant owner Brian Brennan and planning commissioner and restaurant owner Sandy E. Smith also have announced their candidacy for the Nov. 4 ballot, when residents vote for who will fill four of the council’s seven seats.
