K-Swiss Narrows Loss for Quarter as Profits Dip 14%

K-Swiss Inc. posted a second-quarter loss and a 14% decline in its six-month profits.
The Chatsworth-based sneaker company posted a loss of $379 million in the second quarter that ended June 30, compared to a $731-million net loss a year earlier. Revenues in the latest quarter rose 9% to $28.42 million, up from $26.02 million last year.
For the six-month period, K-Swiss saw its profits slide to $1.2 million, down 14% from $1.4 million a year earlier. Six-month revenues dropped 1% to $59.61 million, compared to $60.38 million last year.
