A 32-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with an early morning shooting death east of Cheviot Hills, police said.
Los Angeles resident Arthur Givhan is suspected of killing 31-year-old Kenneth Mosby of Hawthorne, said Det. Ron Phillips of the Los Angeles Police Department. Phillips said both Mosby and Givhan were gang members, but he did not know a motive for the shooting.
Police arriving on the 1900 block of South Bedford Drive just after midnight found Mosby suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, Phillips said. Mosby died at a hospital.
Additional officers who responded to the incident detained three suspects for questioning. Givhan was charged Friday afternoon and will probably be arraigned Tuesday, Phillips said. The other two suspects were released.
