In Brief

Utterly conventional, tepidly produced pop rock from a hugely popular Mexican outfit that dreams of being a Latin version of the Police and ends up sounding like a watered-down Men at Work. The legions of fans will probably embrace the catchy rocker “Clavado en un Bar” and the gorgeous ballad “La Sirena,” the only track to really stand out. Had Mana chosen to sing its material in English, though, it would have been dismissed as mediocre.
