Ice Dogs Lose, Fall Out of First

HOUSTON — The Long Beach Ice Dogs fell into second place in the International Hockey League’s Southwest Division with a 4-2 loss Tuesday to the Houston Aeros before 4,589 at the Compaq Center.
Jeff Christian had three goals for first-place Houston (18-3-4). Doug Ast and Sean Tallaire had the goals for the Ice Dogs (19-8-0), who lost for the first time in 17 games after scoring first.
