Dance Captain Named to Pageant Court

Continuing an Esperanza High School legacy, dance team captain Shannon Mackay was recently selected to the Miss California Dance/Drill Pageant Court.
Shannon, 17, will compete in the national Miss USA competition in Long Beach March 28.
Her appointment to the court marks the 10th consecutive year a dance team captain from the school has been selected, said Coach Sue Errickson-Gehringer.
Shannon, will graduate in June and plans to study dance and communications at the University of Utah in the fall.
