Chest Pains Land Specter in Hospital

After complaining of chest pains and checking himself into Philadelphia’s Thomas Jefferson University Hospital on Saturday, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) was “feeling fine,” but may remain in the hospital until Tuesday. An echocardiogram showed no sign of heart problems, but doctors planned to run more tests to determine the exact state of his health. Specter, 68, had a benign brain tumor removed in 1993.
