Kennedy High Homes Project Meeting Topic

A proposal to build 31 homes on a portion of Kennedy High School will be the subject of an open house tonight.
The 6:30 p.m. meeting will be in the high school’s gymnasium, 8281 Walker St.
Representatives from Anaheim Union High School District and the Olson Co. of Seal Beach, which would build the homes, will be available to answer questions.
School district trustees have approved selling 4.8 acres of the campus to the development company. The land sale will generate about $3.5 million for improvements at Kennedy High, including construction of a new pool and auditorium.
The housing project is proposed on the northwest corner of Crescent Avenue and Walker Street. The school’s tennis courts and track would be relocated. Olson still needs approval for the project from the City Council.
