Meeting on Cityhood to Be Held Saturday
Community leaders will discuss proposals for cityhood Saturday and launch a signature drive toward incorporation with neighboring Portola Hills.
Also on the agenda for the Foothill Ranch Civic Council meeting is an update on a study looking at whether the two communities could afford to provide services to residents. The feasibility study is about half done, said council member Glen Ward.
Cityhood supporters need 25% of the area’s 14,000 residents to sign a petition and submit it to the Local Agency Formation Commission, which rules on incorporation issues.
Saturday’s meeting begins at 10 a.m. at Foothill Ranch Elementary School, 1 Torino, in the multipurpose room.
