SHERMAN OAKS — No charges will be filed against an MTA bus driver whose bus struck and killed a woman in a Sherman Oaks intersection, authorities said Tuesday.
Bobbie England, 56, was pronounced dead Monday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys shortly after the 5:40 p.m. accident, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jason Lee. She was struck and pinned under the bus’ left rear tire as the driver made a left turn from Tyrone Avenue onto the 14300 block of Moorpark Street.
“This will be strictly handled as a traffic collision,” Lee said. “Unfortunately, traffic collisions do happen. The driver was not driving under the influence.”
