UCI Police Pushing ‘Silent Witness’ Plan

To promote campus safety, the UC Irvine Police Department is encouraging students and faculty to participate in the new “Silent Witness Program.”
It is set up so that crime or suspicious activity on campus can be reported anonymously.
A Web site has been developed and is linked to the Associated Students and Police Department home pages.
“UCI is already one of the safest university campuses in the country, and the program is designed to ensure that it remains so,” said Kathleen Stanley, chief of police.
The Web sites are https://www.abs.uci.edu/depts/police and https://www.asuci.edu/~asuci
