YEAR: Sophomore
SEASON AT A GLANCE: One of the region’s most promising underclassmen, Porter has played her best basketball during the playoffs. The point guard, who averaged fewer than eight points during the regular season, scored 28 points in a semifinal victory over Nordhoff.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Porter made three first-quarter three-point baskets and finished with a team-high 17 points in the Wolverines’ 45-41 victory over Morningside in the Southern Section Division III-A final Friday at the Pyramid in Long Beach.
