Beeswax Separator Starts Garage Fire
A fire ignited by a beeswax separator destroyed a garage early Tuesday, authorities said.
The beeswax separator had been left on and its heat caused materials in the Douglas Street garage to catch fire about 5:45 a.m., county fire officials said.
Firefighters had the blaze out shortly after 6 a.m., but not before it destroyed the garage and expensive equipment inside, including numerous horse saddles, officials said.
Damage was estimated at $45,000. No injuries were reported.
