Arms Deal for Lancaster

The JetHawks gained a pitcher when their parent club, the Seattle Mariners, traded catcher Rick Wilkins to the New York Mets.

The Mets gave up Lindsay Gulin, 21, who was 1-1 with a 2.33 earned-run average in six appearances with St. Lucie of the Class-A Florida State League.

To make room for Gulin, a 6-foot-3 left-hander, the JetHawks sent Russ Koehler to Wisconsin.

Koehler was 1-3 with a 7.06 ERA, allowing 29 hits in 21 2/3 innings. Gulin, who is in his fourth professional season, has a career record of 22-12.
