Women’s Cancer Risks to Be Discussed

A symposium to raise awareness of women’s cancers and genetic issues will be June 9 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.
“The Power of Knowledge Saves Lives” will cover genetic cancer risk assessment and tamoxifen and raloxifen as breast cancer preventive agents.
Speakers will include Dr. Jeffrey Weitzel, director of the Cancer Screening and Prevention program at City of Hope, and Deborah MacDonald, a cancer risk counselor at City of Hope.
