6 County Players Earn Softball Honors

Six athletes who attended county high schools were selected to the All-Pacific Region softball team, which was announced Thursday.
Named to the first team were Arizona third baseman Toni Mascarenas (Pacifica High), catcher Leah Braatz (Estancia) and outfielders Lauren Bauer (Foothill) and Alison McCutcheon (formerly Johnson from Woodbridge). Stanford’s designated player Marcy Crouch (Marina) was also a first-team selection, and teammate Jennie Foyle (El Modena), a second baseman, was a second-team pick.
