Couple Honored for Fixing Up House

Steve and Liz Trott have received the city’s Community Spotlight Award for fixing up their Heather Avenue home.
Officials said the Trotts deserve recognition for participating in the city’s Paint-Up Campaign, a program aimed at getting residents to take pride in their neighborhoods by cleaning up their properties.
The Trotts improved their home’s appearance by painting it and landscaping their yard.
“Your efforts definitely contribute to the citywide beautification effort that we are striving for,” Councilman Juan M. Garcia told the couple during a recent council meeting when they were given the award.
