PYTHON HEIRS?

“South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone resent the shots being taken at them due to their newfound fame (“They Got Game,” by Jon Burlingame, May 10). I find this ironic, since “South Park” regularly takes scabrous cheap shots at many “easy target” celebrities. I thought perhaps David Zucker was joking when he compared this sophomoric duo to both the Marx Brothers and Monty Python, but since Zucker praised himself as a great satirist, he may have been serious.
Satire is usually intelligent, and about the only thing “South Park,” “The Naked Gun” and the upcoming “BASEketball” prove is the rewards of aiming low . . . as in lowbrow.
