Thousand Oaks Spill Investigation
I don’t particularly care for any of our local politicians. Actually, the only petition I would think about signing would be one demanding that all five Thousand Oaks City Council members resign. But this sewer probe is the biggest government scam to come along in a long time.
Sure, the pipe burst. But how can anyone prove that the new pipe might not have burst also along with numerous pipes all over Southern California this past winter?
Put the money toward the cleanup and let’s get on with it.
We the people are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for this investigation by the feds. Then we spend more tax dollars to hire attorneys at huge cost with prior links to the federal government. Now we may have to spend more tax dollars to hire attorneys for two council members. If violations are found and fines result, these fines will be paid with still more tax dollars.
Feeling scammed yet?
The feds should be dismissed, the attorneys should be waived, Thousand Oaks should pay for and oversee the cleanup and we the people should keep our tax dollars.
