The Times Names New Advertising Chief

John C. McKeon, senior vice president of advertising and chief innovation officer at Newsday, was named senior vice president of advertising at the Los Angeles Times, Times President and Chief Executive Officer Kathryn M. Downing said. McKeon, 42, will be responsible for all retail, national and classified advertising at the newspaper, a unit of Times Mirror Co., and will report to Downing. McKeon will assume his new post Nov. 16.
