Scientists, environmentalists, industry leaders and researchers will examine environmental issues at a Cal State Fullerton conference that begins today.
The three-day conference, “The Greening of Southern California: Strategies for the 21st Century,” will cover topics including water resources, waste management, air quality and biodiversity.
A key session will deal with the lessons learned in connection with the McColl hazardous waste site in Buena Park, soon to be removed from the list of the nation’s worst toxic sites.
The conference, held in the Titan Student Union, will also include tours of environmental sites and a session on environmental careers.
The cost is $60 but free to students. Information: (714) 278-2472.
