On Nov. 3, voters will elect a Ventura County assessor. I strongly recommend that you choose James Dodd as my successor.
As an 18-year veteran of the assessor’s office, Jim would begin his term of office Jan. 4 with the knowledge and qualifications to be a working assessor. He is qualified to earn his salary and get the job done.
As the current assessor’s tax specialist, Jim knows the tax laws and has a proficient working relationship with the state Board of Equalization, which oversees all county assessor offices in California. He knows the function of each section of the office. The combination of his knowledge of property tax law and his broad office experience would make it possible for the office to operate efficiently and productively.
Please elect James Dodd. You will be assured of fair assessment practices and a cost-efficient office.
