VALLEY PAC-8 CONFERENCE

North Hollywood 22, Van Nuys 20--Matthew Hicks ran for 247 yards in 32 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Huskies (2-5, 2-2) in an upset victory at Van Nuys.

Hicks scored on runs of eight, 48 and 51 yards. He ran for a two-point conversion after his first score to give Van Nuys (5-2, 3-1) an 8-7 lead with seven minutes to play in the second quarter.

Quarterback Bobby Hernandez of Van Nuys ran four yards for a touchdown and connected with Jermaine Lucious on a 35-yard scoring play. Andrew Shinn scored for the Wolves on a 10-yard run with 3:34 remaining, but he was stopped short trying to run for a two-point conversion.
