Faberge Eggs to Be Shown at Museum

A collection of jeweled eggs created by the famous House of Faberge will be the featured exhibit next month at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.
The exhibit, “Regal Splendor: Masterpieces from the House of Faberge,” opens Nov. 14 and will include 28 pieces. The exhibit will run through Jan. 10.
“We think it can provide a very compelling experience” for visitors, said Mark Burson, executive director of the Presidential Foundation.
The highlight of the show will be the first public viewing in the United States of the Nobel Ice Egg, commissioned by the nephew of inventor Alfred Nobel in 1914.
The egg is designed after frost-covered windowpanes and holds a pendant watch inside.
The library is at 40 Presidential Drive near Simi Valley. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
