A $25,000 reward has been established for information leading to the apprehension of a Boyle Heights gang member who allegedly killed three people, Councilman Richard Alatorre said Wednesday.
Alatorre said the City Council approved the reward in a bid to help Hollenbeck detectives find Jose Luis Saenz, 23, a Cuatro Flats gang member wanted in the slayings of two rival gang members and the rape and death of his girlfriend.
Saenz and a 14-year-old accomplice who is now in custody, shot and killed two rivals in the Aliso Village housing project on July 25, police said. Two weeks later, on Aug. 5, Saenz abducted, raped and killed Sigreta Fernandez in East Los Angeles to silence her regarding the double murder, authorities said.
Hollenbeck detectives ask anyone who knows Saenz’s whereabouts to call them at (323) 526-3110.
