DOUBTING THOMAS: “It is hard to imagine any person [who has] the remotest concern for the Christian cause missing the celebration of Easter. Yet the Bible gives a precedent for this in the case of Thomas, one of the closest followers of Jesus, who failed to be present when the disciples gathered on Easter evening. While history calls Thomas ‘the doubter,’ . . . he stands as eternal proof that a questioning, probing, even doubting mind can find answers.”
