The seventh annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be held May 7 from 7:15 to 9 a.m. at the Sun and Sail Club. Wendell Clark, who is helping organize the event, said that despite the name, the breakfast is not sponsored by the city or any church. Modeled after the National Prayer Breakfast, the event is an opportunity to pray for elected officials and bring residents together, Clark said. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
