The Seal Beach Animal Care Center is holding a grand opening ceremony for its new dog park Sunday. The fenced-in, 6,000-square-foot park, on land donated by the city, gives the shelter a space for animals to run around freely. The park will be dedicated to Chet Silver and Jay Ingerle, two shelter volunteers who died last year. The ceremony is at 3 p.m. at 1700 Adolfo Lopez Drive, near the police station. Information: Jim Welch, (714) 827-8285.
