* The Rossmoor/Los Alamitos Area Sewer District, or RLASD, recently sent out the annual newsletter to our customers in Los Alamitos, Rossmoor and College Park West. Also, our board spoke at a Los Alamitos City Council meeting to appeal for a zone change for our property next to the police station, near the Los Alamitos City Hall.
We are constantly looking for better ways to operate the district. We believe that a zoning change from government to commercial for the district’s property will allow the district to rent the offices to other tenants besides governments.
The city of Los Alamitos’ detaching from the district has not been considered as an option for improving sewer services for my entire tenure on the board of the sewer district. What benefit can this detachment bring to the communities served?
