* Yes, it was a tragedy what happened to William Shatner’s wife, but I would like to clarify something for Steve Miller (letter, Aug. 23). The tapes released to the media were not released by the Los Angeles Police Department, but by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Our department gets blamed for many things and not praised enough for all its hard work, but we are not responsible for this.
