UCLA Women Hammer Oregon St.

Janae Hubbard scored 26 points, and Maylana Martin had 22 points and 10 rebounds Friday night as the 10th-ranked UCLA women routed Oregon State, 105-50, at Pauley Pavilion.

The 105 points were the most ever scored against Oregon State in a Pacific 10 Conference game, and it was only the fourth time a team had topped 100 points against the Beavers.

LaCresha Flannigan added 20 points for UCLA (11-4, 3-0), which had five players in double figures to the Beavers’ one.

Oregon State (9-3,1-2) shot only 28% from the floor while UCLA shot 55%.

The Beavers were without their leading scorer and rebounder, center Sissel Pierce. She underwent surgery on her left knee Friday in Corvallis, Ore.

Oregon 77, USC 53--With an injury-depleted roster, the best the Trojans could hope for against the Ducks was to stay close enough to make a final run.

But the Trojans fell into foul trouble and the Ducks cruised to victory at the Lyon Center.

The game was tied, 21-21, before Oregon scored 11 consecutive points on free throws and took a 35-22 lead into halftime. The Trojans had six players with at least two fouls after 20 minutes.

The Trojans (5-7, 1-2 Pac-10) stayed within 10 points for the first 10 minutes in the second half, but Oregon (12-2, 3-0) made seven consecutive shots to blow the game open.

USC, dressing only nine players, was playing its first game without senior guard Kristin Clark. Clark, who was averaging 14.5 points a game, injured her right knee earlier this week against Arizona and is the fourth guard to suffer a major injury this season.

USC’s Adrain Williams scored 15 of her game-high 19 points in the second half.
