Hidden Hills Elementary School will celebrate the written word with its annual Reading Week beginning Friday. Students will keep a reading log and prizes will be awarded to the classes with the highest number of minutes spent reading.
Award-winning author Evelyn Gallardo will hold a writing workshop for fifth-graders Jan. 27 and sign copies of her book “Among the Orangutans.” And an afternoon read-in will be spent focusing on the comforts of relaxing with a good book and a pillow. Information: (949) 489-7391.
