Girl, 16, Convicted in Teen’s Hanging Death

A 16-year-old girl was convicted of hanging a learning-disabled teenager so she wouldn’t tattle about a plan to run away to Florida. Jessica Holtmeyer could get life in prison for the killing of Kimberly Jo Dotts, 15. A jury in Clearfield, Pa., found Holtmeyer guilty of murder, aggravated assault and conspiracy. A group of teenagers lured Dotts into the woods in May, when Holtmeyer and 18-year-old Aaron Straw hanged her, witnesses said.
