Northridge Shoots Down Idaho State

Sophomore guard Edniesha Curry scored 17 points to lead hot-shooting Cal State Northridge to a 78-48 victory over Idaho State in a Big Sky Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Northridge.
The Matadors (13-6, 7-2 in conference play) made 30 of 59 shots, including five of eight from three-point range. Curry made three of four three-point shots.
Forward Lynda Amari scored 13 points and reserve Leah Rice added 12 for Northridge, which extended a 34-26 halftime lead.
Idaho State (4-15, 2-7) committed 22 turnovers and made only 19 of 55 shots, including three of 19 three-point attempts. Guard Theresa Mallak was the only Bengal to score in double figures, finishing with 10 points.
The Master’s 76, Point Loma Nazarene 69--Elizabeth Hansell scored eight of her 31 pointsduring a 20-4 second-half run by the Mustangs in a nonconference victory at Point Loma Nazarene.
The Master’s (19-4) trailed, 52-49, when Hansell scored a rebound basket to begin the Mustangs’ run.
Hansell had nine rebounds and Molly Scott had 21 points and 10 rebounds for The Master’s.
Ember Brown, a Ventura High graduate, had 30 points, five rebounds and five assists for Point Loma Nazarene (6-16), which suffered its fifth loss in seven games.
Antelope Valley 80, Citrus 64--Carmina Stevenson made eight three-point baskets and finished with 26 points for the Marauders (15-10, 7-3) in a Foothill Conference victory at Antelope Valley.
Antelope Valley made a school-record 14 three-pointers, breaking the previous mark of 11 set against Moorpark in 1995.
