The city will be among those getting a visit today from Marines departing from the closing El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.
To mark the closing of the base, the Orange County Marine Corps Coordinating Council will meet with the mayor and bid farewell to the city. The event will include a parade of light-armored vehicles, Marines and members of Marine Corps fraternal organizations.
The public is invited to attend the event, which will take place at 3 p.m. behind City Hall on El Lazo Road. Information: (949) 362-4300.
