The City Council on Tuesday voted 3 to 0, with Councilmen William C. Estrada and David John Shawver absent, to impose a curbside parking ban on the eastside section of Fern Avenue. Officials hope the ban will improve street access and traffic visibility on the street; residents and truck drivers had raised safety concerns about the reduced visibility. The ban, which takes effect in a month, means vehicles will no longer be allowed to park 97 feet to 155 feet south of Main Street on Fern Avenue.
