5 Officers Accused of 17 Homicides

Five police officers in a suburban Mexico City town were charged with homicide after 17 people were robbed and killed in recent months. The gang is believed to have killed at least 10 people in the last three months alone. The five municipal police officers face maximum sentences of 50 years in prison if convicted. They allegedly pulled their victims over in their patrol cars, accused them of traffic violations and ordered them into a police vehicle. They then allegedly robbed and killed their victims, dumping their bodies on rural roadsides.
