The City Council paved the way for 40 new townhomes in the downtown area, despite some concerns about parking congestion. The council on Tuesday approved an agreement with a Seal Beach developer to create 20 Craftsman-style townhouses on Orange Avenue and 20 Spanish- and Mediterranean-style townhomes on Brea Boulevard. “In any urban downtown you’ve got people living downtown and working downtown,” said Councilman Roy Moore. “It’s a mixed use of the property, and that’s what we’re trying to create.” The city agreed to work on parking concerns.
