With the Miami Heat’s second-year-in-a-row elimination by the New York Knicks, I’m reminded that (Randy Harvey take note) Pat Riley has never coached a team to an NBA title without Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Heat owners have to wonder if Riley is worth the money they’re paying him and the reputation he brought with him.
